…I will be on vacation this week. I will not have Internet access. In fact, by the time you get this letter I will probably be on horseback somewhere in the middle of the Colorado wilderness. Somewhere where you will not be able to tempt me with your hundreds of scintillating blog posts on topics that are interesting to me. I know you think I’ll be lost without you, which is why I wanted to set the record straight. Here is what I will NOT be doing this week:
- Obsessing about all the coverage of the SCBWI conference in LA that I am missing.
- Panicking about the hundreds – maybe thousands – of posts that you will have piled up in my absence and that will be waiting for me when I return.
- Worrying that I am going to miss that single, critical nugget of advice that would have expedited my path to publishing.
See, here’s the deal: you work for me, not the other way around. So you have fun doing all your information gathering and I’ll get back to you in a week. And I may not even read everything that you collect for me. So there!
P.S. I had my fingers crossed behind my back the whole time I wrote this letter…Categories: Uncategorized · Tags: Google Reader, SCBWI
