Another week, another installment of Gratitude Sunday…

Quotes on Gratitude

“(Some people) have a wonderful capacity to appreciate again and again, freshly and naively, the basic goods of life, with awe, pleasure, wonder, and even ecstasy.” — A.H. Maslow

“Many people who order their lives rightly in all other ways are kept in poverty by their lack of gratitude.” — Wallace Wattles

“Gratitude should not be just a reaction to getting what you want, but an all-the-time gratitude, the kind where you notice the little things and where you constantly look for the good, even in unpleasant situations. Start bringing gratitude to your experiences, instead of waiting for a positive experience in order to feel grateful.” — Marelisa Fábrega

  1. What a lovely list! It is so different with regards to the weather – all the wintry things like snow and turtleneck sweates just when we’re spending our days frolicking at the beach and the pool, not a ‘polo’ neck sweater in sight.

    I am grateful for:

    1. Beginning Christmas preparations at the beach house on the coast.
    2. The thought of having the family together for a week!
    3. Time to write every day.
    4. Good food, good drink aplenty.
    5. Good friends.
    6. Lovely students who thankfully will be finishing up lessons soon so I’ll have even more time to write.

I’ll leave it there, but it is lovely to take the time to think about how grateful we are for the gift of life..:)

    • What a great list! It’s so hard for me to imagine decorating a beach house for Christmas. I’ve always lived in a place that’s cold and/or snowy in December. How do you spin the Santa story there???

Good for you for getting (and taking) writing time every day!

  2. Good week here too, Julie!

Paying attention to the ordinary miracles of life makes me smile.

  3. Julie, I love how you do this each week. My gratitudes are reruns, but always worthy of repeating. Good health, a wonderful family, a warm home, a full pantry. So much to be grateful for.
