Cleopatra and The Scream

Has anybody noticed I’m getting quite close to 100 Gratitude Sunday posts? I’ll have to think if there is anything special to do to celebrate. If you have ideas, let me know in the comments!

Quotes on Gratitude

“Gratitude to gratitude always gives birth.” — Sophocles

β€œWe tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.” — Fredrick Koeing

β€œTo live a life fulfilled reflect on the things you have with gratitude.” — Jaren Davis

Gratitude list for the week ending November 3

  1. A happy, safe, and WARM Halloween
  2. A power hike up Shanahan Ridge into Fern Canyon. All I have to say after that is, “Holy Hamstrings, Batman!”
  3. Em did a great job being “Paul Revere” for her biography presentation.
  4. Jay did a great job singing a solo in his music Halloween performance.
  5. A delicious glass of red wine while talking to a good friend
  6. Homemade roasted pumpkin seeds
  7. PiBoIdMo has begun!
  8. Katie Davis’ lovely Brain Burps About Books podcast with Lisa Clifford, who is one of the faculty members for Writer’s Renaissance. So inspiring!
  9. Michigan beat Minnesota
  10. Finishing one good book and starting another

  1. Sooo grateful for family OK at the Jersey shore…glorious fall days to rake leaves…and to Julie for reminding me about PiBoIdMo! I totally missed it somehow and will sign up right this minute!

  2. Very grateful blogging friends are safe and really enjoying PiBoldMo. I always love the rich diversity of your list, Julie.

  3. Sound like a week to be grateful for! Loved seeing Cleopatra and The Scream πŸ™‚

  4. Thanks Julie. Needed one of those posts in particular today. Discontent is such a worrisome devil and your reminders each Sunday help me in telling him to flee. (James 4:7)

  5. I’m grateful PiBoIdMo arrived. Extremely grateful I was able to attend my friend’s daughter’s wedding on Sunday. What a beautiful wedding. Added bonus: kiddo gets to spend time with grandparents. Great visit so far.

  6. Grateful that diversity is appreciated in your household – at least in Halloween costumes!

  7. I’m thankful that I can stay at home and educate our two teens, And have the time in between to write. I, too, appreciate and have been blessed by PiBoIdMo in the past, and am enjoying another year! And, of course, that goes for 12×12 in 2012 AND 2013!!!

  8. I am grateful I read a whole novel yesterday!

  9. Wow, almost 100 gratitude posts. That’s wonderful! I’m grateful my kids have already forgotten they have Halloween candy. πŸ™‚

  10. Cleopatra looks a lot like you, Julie. This week I am grateful for my BirdBrain Science gig, which allows me to write about science for kids from the comfort of my own home. I am especially grateful for this in this topsy turvy world of children’s book publishing when it seems I might never be published.
