Two music videos for your holiday pleasure.

This first features my cousin’s daughter, who is an amazing singer and actress.  She recently participated in her high school’s annual Christmas Madrigal Dinner.  The finale was a Nigerian Christmas carol called Betelehemu.  It’s a little on the long side at almost 5 minutes, but I guarantee it will life your spirits.

The second is a pure crack-up from the organized chaos that was my kids’ All-School sing.  Luckily they have a music teacher with a sense of humor.  It’s worth it to watch past the first minute on that one.  Enjoy!

  1. Julie, that first song is GORGEOUS! And you’re so right about the 2nd’s ha-ha effect. 🙂 Thanks for the dose of fun!

  2. I enjoyed both. I did get a lift!

  3. Thanks! Merry Christmas!

  4. That first one ~ of course I love the costumes! But, what’s with the kid in white shorts and a white striped shirt? He must not have gotten the memo to dress in medieval garb. Still, the song is beautiful. Makes me want to download other countries’ Christmas songs.

The second video made me laugh! What a super cool music teacher and it looks like all the kids and adults had a blast. Thanks for sharing these.

    • Tameri,

The music teacher invited alumni to come forward to join in the last carol. The guy with the striped shirt is one of them – hence the lack of Renaissance garb.

And yes, my kiddos have a great and funny music teacher. He’s new this year and we love him!

  5. Headbanger Nutcracker! Yes! Thanks for sharing, and have a rockin’ Christmas!

  6. So much fun! Thanks for sharing Julie 🙂

  7. They are both so wonderful, Julie. Thanks for sharing!

And to you and your loved ones, I’m wishing you a lovely holiday season!

  8. Your cousin’s daughter has a beautiful voice. I shared it with a blogger in Australia . . . whose husband and 4 kids are from Nigeria!

  9. Julie, the first video was very, very good. Your cousin’s daughter has a lovely voice. Like that what they did was multicultural.

Your daghter’s school sing reminded me a bit of a flashdance. It was so cute and it looked like they had such a great ime!

    • Patricia – they did songs from all over the world – it was great. And yes, the kiddos love that “Headbanger” Nutcracker (coined as such by me). 🙂

  10. Great stuff, Julie! Have a rockin’ Christmas!

  11. Thanks for sharing the videos. Merry Christmas!!

  12. I loved both of these! Have a wonderful Christmas!

  13. “organized chaos” – I love it! And a perfect description for the kids’ dance!
