Thanks for your lovely comments Susanna! It has been my pleasure getting to know you these past couple of years!
You’re welcome, Julie! Did you know there is not collective noun for a bunch of Julies? I looked 🙂 There is one that may go with your new collection of videos…
A volary of videos and Julie’s film collection takes flight!
Hmmm… I might get myself in trouble if I asked people to come up with a name for a group of Julies. 🙂 A volary of videos? Really? That’s awesome!
Lovely, Julie! And thank you right back for providing such a great service for us all! 🙂
You are very welcome Becky! I enjoy it so much!

Thank you for saying so, Carol. That sure is my goal, and I appreciate all you have done to help me too!

Awesome, Julie! I love your ease with producing videos…kudos! And we are all grateful for YOU! Perhaps we should each make a video to tell you that.:)
I have no doubt you will one day, Vivian. You are so generous to fellow writers. It’s an honor to have you as a follower.
🙂 Looking forward to meeting you in person one day soon…maybe at the Letters and Lines SCBWI conference in September…I saw you are speaking…and I DO plan to go. 🙂

Thanks Pamela, but I couldn’t have done any of it without you guys. So thanks!!
Are you kiddin’? I take pride in subscribing! Hee, hee! Any where you go, there’s always gonna be a flock, a troup, or at least a kid-lit-groupie behind you (okay, that sounded a little stalkerish – never mind!). Thanks for doing all you do!
Me have groupies?? I’d never complain about that! Thanks Julie for brightening 12 x 12 and my blog with clever and funny comments just like this one. 🙂

Hi Julie Thank you so much for your ‘Thank you’ I have really enjoyed you interesting and informative new letters and tips. I’ll be taking this year off to catch up with projects which are very time consuming on my part. All the best to you and your subscribers.
Thank you for your wisdom, compassion, and support. You are a blessing to me, and to the writing community.
Here’s to another twelve months together!
Thanks, Julie:) I have enjoyed my year with you. And, I think I am almost ready to join your 12X12. Unless I chicken out. I have a couple of weeks left.
Thanks, Julie! You are one of my go-to people when I have questions. “What does Julie Hedland say?” Thanks for keeping us up to date with the writing world.
You’re always encouraging, Julie. And thank you!
Thanks Julie for your newsletters, and encouragement. & for 12 x 12! It’s been great to feel part of a writing community.
Are you prepared for your 2000th follower? How will you celebrate?
Thanks for keeping me on track, Julie!
What a perfect day to see a thank you video! Happy Thanksgiving in thankful that I for all you do Julie!
Ahh! That should say I’m thankful that I found 12×12 and for all you do Julie!
Julie, your knowledge on the craft/business of writing and your kind, grateful heart have inspired so many people, including me! You have inspired us to become better writers and entrepreneurs, as well as better people. Thank you! I’m so grateful to have found you and the 12×12 community!
Cheers, Julie! You have been an inspiration to me and so many others – truly a shinning light. Thank you for all that you share and stand for and this good start for my day. 🙂
Thank you, Julie. I always get a lot out of the information you have to offer, but more than that, I feel like I’m chatting with a friend as I listen to your videos and see your friendly smile 🙂
You live in my favorite city in the country where I dated a fella for six years! Thank you for all of your helpful insights. I look forward to many more. I have written a novel and numerous manuscripts for children, but have yet to be pubbed. More difficult with children’s books trying to find an illustrator.
Thank you, Julie. I enjoyed my year. During that year I got an agent for my chapter book. Since my picture books did not seem to be going anywhere, I decided to concentrate on chapter books for a while. But if I decide to go back to writing picture books I will definately come back to your membership. You have a great website, a great resource for picture book writers.
Hi Julie, and THANK YOU!!! A question- How come you’re having spring when I’m having winter? Ah, well, spring will come to Maine at some point.
Thank you Julie, I appreciate this webpage and have upped for another year. I hope this will help me get to where I need to be to publish something.
I see that Boulder is as dry and snowless as Salt Lake City is this winter. Rain but no snow in January is odd.
You are truly an inspiration and a wealth of information!
Thank you, Julie. I have learned a great deal. I am glad I discovered 12×12!
I very much enjoy your site and have picked up tons of good stuff. I have been a bit silent as am now trying to write an early reader. Once it has been thoroughly edited, I will follow the advice in your Submission package. I’m sure it will apply to both genres. Thank you.
Thank you, Julie!!! Much appreciation! xo
Thanks Julie for a fun and informative year! I have appreciated being a part of this group.
You’re welcome … and thank YOU!! 🙂
Thank you Julie for adding my name to your list of Newsletter followers. I am most grateful and look forward to reading all the latest updates and advice we get from you. It is not only the information that is enriching but also your personal enthusiasm, generosity of spirit and energy that motivates me. I am glad I am a part of your followers. Cheers. Elvira (from Switzerland)
Aww! Thank YOU, Julie!
You are a wonderfully kind friend.
Thank you for a year of inspiration.
Thank you Julie. You have given me a wealth of knowledge!
I’m so grateful for the wonderful information you provide. Thank you for this lovely message.
What a great idea Julie! Lovely thought and thank you as well!
Thanks for a great year – and be sure that we’re all as appreciative of you as you are of us!
Thank you Julie. This community has changed my life (and I am not even published – yet…). The support, the similar journey we are on, the resources, interviews, webinars. It’s my happy place. Thank you for your wonderful creation.
Thank you, Julie! You are an inspiration to me and I appreciate all the work you put into your blogs and 12X12. I am still in learning mode and you have presented so much incentive and information. Good writing in 2016!
Thank you Julie for creating 12X12! And thank you for your thoughtfulness and efforts to strengthen the skills of those who wish to write for children.
We are all busy but you take the time to thank us and that is priceless. I wish you more success and books to come! God bless!
Thank you Julie for this heartfelt thank you. I know that personally, I have learned so much from your newsletters, blogs, your organizing of webinars, the 12×12 program and I don’t know how to adequately thank you. You seem to have a talent for leading in a way that is inclusive and helps break down barriers so that writers, pre-published and published, work together in a warm community. Who could ask for anything more?
Thanks, Julie. You are always offering support and encouragement.
Thank you for all your help over the last year. I’m suggesting my writing granddaughter sign up.
Nothing makes my day like a video message made “just for me!” Thanks!
What a lovely tribute to the 12 x 12 tribe. I’m lucky to have found you all! Thanks for starting this awesome adventure!
Wow – one year already?! I am so thankful I subscribed back then. You’ve given me so much inspiration and information this past year. Thank YOU for everything you do for us writers!
Thank you, Julie. That was so sweet of you. Your site and 12×12 has gotten me through 12 months of being quite ill. It gave me something to put my mind on that was lots of fun. I am healing now and out-lived my gallbladder. It was nice to not waste a year. I have PB manuscripts to prove it!
This year has gone by fast, in great part because of the focus you have supplied me, especially through 12 X 12 to work, work, work. Thank you for your vision and carrying it forward. A great inspiration for me in doing the same – in my writing, illustration, and also in life. We all collectively have what it takes to create a more loving world.
It is the day after elections, and so I feel to say more than usual in reference to you and our place as PB people. Although I have a wonderful community of fellow believers around the world through dance communities I have been involved with, and especially now living in a very progressive area. When I am reminded how many people in children’s literature have the same ideals and goals for acceptance, love, the principles of Mindful Love, from all over the world, I believe this with more grounding.
I know you are feeling the hit, and I must believe it is time to use our ability to create new visions and structures through our art more than ever before.
I actually dreamt this as a received line right before waking today, “It is time to make art.”
That could sound shallow to many, but artists have triggered much change over history. Also, the ability to Vision is a visual creative process, and applies beyond the canvas, printed page. When we trigger others to see what we see, with pictures and/or words we help them learn to visualize and create instead of waiting for the next leader to do it for them. Picture books especially focus on small steps usually, and small steps help us on the path with gentleness, conscious awareness.
Your ability to lead by example – modeling sharing, helping behaviors over competition – can be applied to everyday actions. The more engaged people are in any sort of group that emphasizes caring and sharing, the more practice … that often trickles over to other places in life.
Every creative act we take is part of the process of living… choosing a good life over a gimme one.
Rant over for now. 😛
Looking forward to another great year! Thanks for all you do!!
Thank YOU Julie for sharing your many gifts! It’s not only about the writing, it’s also about how you treat people. You inspire. I’m just thrilled to be included. All the best to you and yours!
