I am on a mission!
I want as many women who are interested in writing La Dolce Vita during the Writer’s Renaissance Retreat to be able to get the early-bird discount before it expires on October 31st. That’s why I’ve created the Writer’s Renaissance Ambassador Program.
You see, Writer’s Renaissance is a very grassroots project (read: all of the funding to set up and run the retreat has come from my own pocket). I have very little in the way of a marketing budget, but what I do have, I’d like to allocate to friends and family who help me spread the word about the retreat.
On the Registration form, there is a field that asks, “How Did You Hear About Writer’s Renaissance?” If someone puts your name in that field when she registers, I will give you a $50 referral fee as a small token of thanks. It’s that simple.
Registration + Your Name as a Referral = $50 in your bank account.
How can you share the information? Let us count the ways. You could send an email to people you think might be interested, include the information in your next newsletter, post the info on your blog (Tamson Weston did a great ‘short and sweet post’ on her blog), share on your social media networks, mention the retreat in person at events or on the phone.
If you are planning to attend any writer’s events in the next couple of months, I will even send you cards for the retreat that you can distribute (remember to write your name on them so you get the referral). Let me know if you’d like some cards and I’ll send them out pronto.
To make it as easy as possible for you to share, I’ve created some ‘shrink-wrapped’ tools. Also, feel free to grab any of the photos from the Writer’s Renaissance web pages to use in your communications.
1. Copy you can use ‘as is’ or personalize for blog posts, newsletters, emails or Facebook.
A writer friend of mine has organized an amazing retreat for women writers in Florence, Italy. It will take place from April 7-13, 2013. I am attending/cannot attend and/but you might like to go. Julie has an overview of the retreat on her website, plus specific information about the Program, Faculty, Accommodation and Rates. If you do register, please let Julie know I sent you!
2. Sample tweets. You can tweet one of these each day if you want to increase the chance that someone will register and list you as a referral.

It’s not just a Writer’s Retreat – It’s a Renaissance! http://julieloves.me/florence – If u register, tell them I sent you! #florence #italy (click to tweet this now)
Remember: Registration + Your Name as a Referral = $50 in your bank account.
The only catch is that space in the retreat is extremely limited and several places have already been taken. Once it’s full, the deal expires.
